[ARCHIVED] South Fayette Community Day set for Sat. Aug. 23

Community Day 2025 flyer

South Fayette Community Day, presented by Washington Financial Bank and South Fayette Township, is Sat. Aug. 23, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fairview Park (GPS: 129 Greenwood Drive, South Fayette PA 15017 or 288 Recreation Road, South Fayette PA 15017). The event includes free admission, free activities and free entertainment. No tickets needed.

Food and drink concessions will be available. Alcohol sales by Recon Brewing and Black Dog Wine Company will be available to adults ages 21 and over.

Amenities include an ATM and shade areas. Pets are not permitted in the park on event day (except for service animals). The Bark Park is closed all day. The splash pad is expected to remain open.

  • Two stages of live music, dancing and entertainment
  • Game tent with Bingo and DJ
  • Mobile Zip Line with 28-foot-high launch platform (Must weigh between 60 lbs. and 250 lbs.)
  • Inflatables and Amusements - Rock climbing wall (25 ft), Wrecking ball, Obstacle courses, Super slide, Spider bungee jump and more
  • Face painting and henna art
  • Balloon twisting
  • Caricatures
  • Stilts walker
  • Trackless train rides
  • Interactive Play Zone with BooglepLex Circus Entertainment
  • Acrobatic Entertainment by Iron City Aerial (12 PM to 2 PM)
  • Petting Zoo (11 AM to 2 PM)
  • Characters and mascots, such as:
    • Mr. Yuk - Pittsburgh Poison Center - 1 PM to 3 PM
    • Sarris Candies - 2 PM to 4 PM
    • Washington Wild Thing - 12 PM to 1 PM
  • Vendors, businesses and community groups
  • 50/50 Raffle - Proceeds benefit the nonprofit South Fayette Community Fund 
  • And more!

Parking

  • Accessible parking is available in Fairview Park.
  • General parking is available, but limited, inside Fairview Park.
  • Golf cart shuttles are available to transport passengers from the parking lots to the event area at the top of the hill.
  • NO THRU-WAY. The main event area is closed to all traffic; no vehicle may drive through the length of the park. If you enter from Greenwood Drive, you must exit Greenwood. If you enter from Mayview Road, you must exit Mayview.

Shuttle bus transportation is available at the following locations, with the first pickup at 10:30 AM:
