A portion of Cecil-Sturgeon Road will be repaired and resurfaced, starting Mon. July 14. Midland Asphalt Materials Inc. will perform the $125,000 project on behalf of South Fayette Township.
The road will be closed to thru-traffic for one day on July 14, weather permitting. Access will be permitted only for local deliveries and area residents. The posted detour will use Cecil-Reissing Road and Rigerts Hill Road. Work will include full-depth reclamation to restore and strengthen the road base.
The road will reopen, and then starting approximately July 24, one-lane alternating traffic will occur while crews chip and seal the road surface.
