- Other people and organizations in the area are conducting food drives. Please be sure to verify the legitimacy of anyone asking for donations, especially monetary.
- Beware that scammers are trying to steal personal and financial information through false phone calls, texts or emails claiming to offer food assistance or claiming to be related to the SNAP program. Never give out your EBT card number, PIN, Social Security number or other sensitive information to anyone you don’t know and trust.
South Fayette Township collected 600 non-perishable food items during the Haunted Harvest event in October and donated them to the Bridgeville-South Fayette Community Food Bank. The township is not hosting another food drive but is collecting toys for the food bank in the South Fayette Township Municipal Center lobby during regular business hours through Nov. 25.
